MICROCHIP AND REGISTRATION

The identification with a microchip and the registration are two complementary operations and are nonsense separated. Make an appointment with your vet and this is what will happen:

1st step : identification with a microchip

An animal can be identified at any age. The vet injects the transponder (commonly called microchip) as small as a rice grain, in the animal's neck, on the left under the skin. The microchip only comprises the identification number (15 figures) that is unique worldwide. This process is totally painless and needs no anesthesia.

2nd step : registration in ID Chips databank

The vet fills a temporary form with the microchip number, the animal's description and the owner's details (and possibly the passport number). He sends us this form, we register the information and the owner will get a confirmation document with all the recorded data.

And that's that! There is now every chance that your pet will be given back to you if he was to get lost...
